I still can't believe it.

Steve Irwin's gone.

It's just awful.

Not only for Terri and the children, but also for the wildlife of Australia (and in fact, the world).

I wouldn't say I was a mega-fan, but I certainly liked and respected the guy, and was simply shattered when I heard he'd gone.

My kids are upset about it, especially my 12yo son, who still wears his "Croc Hunter" hat from when we went to the zoo a few years ago.

I still think I'm more upset than he is.

I dearly hope that his legacy survives him, but I really think Terri will hold the reins nicely.
